More About Our Team
Dr. Tee graduated in 1982 from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He then performed his internship at Hospital Kota Bharu and subsequently continued his training in O&G at Muar Hospital, Seremban General Hospital and University Kebangsaan Malaysia. He had his final training at John Radcliffe Hospital, University of Oxford where he qualified and obtained his specialist qualification, and was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (1989).
His interest in treating infertile couple and continuous education lead him to pursue and obtained his postgraduate Diploma in Reproductive Medicine from the National Population & Family Development Board, Malaysia (LPPKN) in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Programme for International Education in O&G (1986), Bachelor of Science (Honours) from University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom (2005), his Master of Business Administration from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia (2009).
After qualifying as a specialist, Dr. Tee served as an O&G specialist at Klang General Hospital, later at Metro Maternity Hospital and as a visiting O&G consultant at Assunta Hospital. In 1999, he started Metro IVF in Klang and the initial IVF pregnancy was delivered in 2000. In 2008, Metro IVF was invited to start collaborative IVF services with HTAR Hospital and in November 2008 a twin pregnancy was delivered. Since then, he has helped many infertile patients to concieve and have baby of their own.
Ms. Lee is our Senior Clinical Embryologist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Biotechnology from University of Malaya in 2005. Her interest in clinical embryology lead her to continue her training at ART laboratory in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore and attended numerous ART courses in China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Her interest for knowledge and focus on high fertilization rate lead her to continue her education and obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Embryology with distinction from University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 2010.
Ms. Lee started her career in our Group as a Trainee Embryologist in 2005 and subsequently advanced to her present position of Senior Clinical Embryologist. She is responsible for managing the team of embryologists and maintaining strict Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the IVF laboratory to ensure the highest standards. Her extensive training and experience in IVF, ICSI, blastocyst culture and embryo freezing help maintain high success rate in the ART laboratory.
Sr. Wong is our Nursing Counselor. She was initially trained as a registered midwife and completed her training in 1989 at Chinese Maternity Hospital. After many years of clinical experience, she continued her training at Subang Jaya Medical Centre Nursing School and obtained her Diploma in Nursing in 2003 and is a registered nurse with the Malaysian Nursing Board. Her interest to improve herself and her nursing services to the patients lead her to continue her education and obtained her Bachelor Degree of Nursing in 2011.
Sr. Wong joined our Group in 1989 as a midwife and presently is the Head of Nursing, a position she held since 2008. She has with her invaluable industry experience in nursing and management which she had accumulated during her 20 years of experience. Her self-motivation in continuous education in nursing, training of junior nurses and her caring attitude to patients-in-need has made her a good nursing counselor as well.
Ms. Enid is our Clinical Sonographer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedicine from Management & Science University Malaysia in 2007. Her interest in ultrasonography lead her to pursue her postgraduate studies and obtained her Postgraduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography (Asia) from the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) in 2009. She is presently a member of ASUM.
Ms. Enid has acquired good experiences and training in clinical ultrasonography from numerous sources including Vision College at Kelana Jaya, Radiology department at HTAR and Metro Maternity Hospital. Her skill and experience in ultrasonography has helped many of our IVF patients during investigation for their causes, IVF process and later monitoring of fetal growth and wellbeing of the baby before birth.
