A Tale of Two Mothers

A story of two mothers, currently experiencing twin pregnancies through IVF fertility treatments.

The first mother, who has been married for 8 years, has Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. This is her first pregnancy, achieved through her first IVF attempt and first embryo transfer. She is now joyfully expecting twins.

The second mother is in her second pregnancy following her second embryo transfer. Her first child, also conceived through IVF, is more than 8 months old. Her first embryo transfer was performed in August 2022, and she has returned for her second pregnancy. Her fertility challenge was due to her husband’s azoospermia (no sperm found in his semen), which required surgery to retrieve sperm directly from the testis.

One tip we offer to most TTC couples is to plan their families early, consider embryo banking if they need IVF treatment, and take their time to plan their pregnancies.
