Dr. Prakash Mayandi, a distinguished Fertility Consultant at Metro IVF, hails from the picturesque town of Malacca. His educational journey began in Tangkak for primary schooling, followed by secondary education in the enchanting city of Klang. In 2005, he triumphantly graduated from the prestigious University of Malaya, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
Embarking on his professional odyssey, Dr. Prakash completed his internship at the esteemed Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah in Klang. His unwavering passion for women’s health led him back to his alma mater, where he pursued specialised training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, culminating in the award of a Master’s in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2013.
Dedicating himself to the well-being of communities, Dr. Prakash served as a specialist at various hospitals, including Hospital Umum Sarawak, Kuching, and made impactful visits to Hospital Sibu, Hospital Bintulu, Hospital Sri Aman, Hospital Betong, and Hospital Kapit. It was during his tenure at Hospital Umum Sarawak that he honed his proficiency in laparoscopic surgery, specialising in advanced gynaecology and fertility-related procedures.
Driven by an unyielding desire to support infertile couples, Dr. Prakash pursued additional training at the esteemed Hospital University Kebangsaan Malaysia, a renowned hub for infertility treatment in Malaysia. Subsequently, he further refined his expertise at the Department of Reproductive Medicine, Hospital Alor Setar. Dr. Prakash embarked on his journey with Metro IVF group, spearheading the establishment of an IVF ambulatory care centre in Malacca. This successful venture served as a catalyst, paving the way for the creation of additional IVF centres across various states in Malaysia.
Today, Dr. Prakash Mayandi stands as a beacon of compassion and skill, weaving his commitment to fertility care into the rich tapestry of his medical journey.
